Sheffield Town Hall Restoration
Specialist repair was required. The original ironwork which had corroded within the structure was exposed and treated and indent repairs were carried out to the ornate carved capitals. Other masonry was repaired and repointed as necessary. In addition, new rainwater pipes, asphalt floors and gutters were installed.
Roman Baths Restoration
While walking through Wigan town centre, coming across the underground heating system for a Roman bath house may not be one of the things you expect to see.
The discovery of a Roman bathhouse under a £120 million retail development in Wigan was a great find for the historians — and a fascinating restoration project for Maysand.
Stone Steps Deemed ‘World Class’
Maysand were chosen to rebuild the existing steps in the historic Dukinfield Park.
Dating back to 1902, the 55 steps formed the centre piece of the Park and were framed by a series of grand bronze planters at either side. With just an old black and white photograph of the steps to go on, Maysand set about returning the steps to their former glory.
Port of Liverpool
Stonemasonry work restoring the Grade II* listed building, originally built for the Mersey Docks and Harbour Co, lasted for 12 months.
