It all started in December 2020…
We were awarded a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, to create a Banker Masonry Workshop. Our aim is to keep the stonemasonry trade alive and recruit apprentice masons.

Maysand Ltd, has become synonymous with all that's best in the art of building conservation and preservation. From our 25 year history of lovingly restoring historic buildings, we have become renowned for our stonemasonry skills and knowledge.
We wanted to offer our worked stone for other projects including residential, and so Maysand Stonemasonry was born.
We make it a mission to employ apprentices and give them a start in the world of stonemasonry, as this skill is sadly dying out. We are determined to keep it alive within our banker shop.

December 2020 - The start of an era. We have our work cut out, as we start clearing out the builders yard. Supplies have been piling up here for 20 years. Let the clearing commence...
4th January 2021, our new Forklift has arrived! This little machine will clear the yard in no time :)
January 6th 2021 - The Clear out begins. A lot of junk has built up over the years, we have a big job ahead to make space for the workshop.
January 18th 2021 - We've managed to make quite a bit of space. Who knew our yard was this big?!
February 1st 2021 - The groundworks are well underway for our new banker shed.
February 10th 2021 - Our water sump is now installed. This will collect and filter the water from the saws and recycle it back.
February 16th - The new electric box is installed ready to be connected.
February 19th - The workshop has been delivered :) The groundworks for the workshop are also well under way.
February 25th - The groundworks for the base are almost complete, the steel just needs to be added and then we are ready for the concrete pour!
March 2nd - Maysand containers are now in their final place.
March 16th - After delays due to bad weather the concrete pour is finally happening!
March 17th - Look at the shine on that power float finish :)
March 19th - The new fencing is well underway.
March 23rd - This workshop is going up FAST we already have a roof, it's only day 2.
March 24th - The walls are going up now.
March 25th - The new fencing is still going in along the perimeter.
March 29th - Our brand new stonemasonry workshop is complete, it looks great :)
March 30th - The whopping Saw has arrived.
March 30th - Along with the Water Wall for dust extraction.
March 31st - The gates have been moved to their new place.
